Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the role is to represent Liberator within the North of England (M62 corridor and North to Scottish borders, Scotland would not be part of the territory) and to support professionals with assessments, demonstrations, training, and support of Liberator high-tech AAC devices. The role would also include attending exhibitions and conferences as and when required. The role would be based from your home (located within the territory), with visits to settings within your territory as needed. You will also be expected to attend meetings in the office in Grantham on request, typically held quarterly.

We already have a team of Regional AAC consultants, so this is an opportunity to join an established team, work in an established territory and work for a reputable AAC company.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have
- AAC experience, having previously worked in the field of AAC.
- A background of supporting or working with people with disabilities.
- Experience and confidence with communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Confidence at using technology
- Confidence with using Microsoft Office
- Experience of working with Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or assistive technology services.
- A valid UK driver’s license
Main Duties
Product Demonstrations
o Demonstrate a range of high-tech AAC devices including PRC-Saltillo devices.
o Demonstrate and confidently recommend a range of vocabularies.
o Demonstrate and suggest alternative access options.
Assessment Support
o Support professionals during an assessment and trial of high-tech AAC devices.
o Provide loan setup and support for a device loan/trial
o Assist with setting goals during trial and provide resources to assist loan/trial
Education and training
o Deliver high-tech AAC device training courses, editing, and customising devices.
o Deliver vocabulary and language training to support implementation.
o Present a clear and informative justification for pictorial language systems based on Unity and other language representation methods to professionals in health and education, end-users and their families.
o Support professionals during Implementation and support of AAC devices.
o Attend conferences and exhibition as needed
o Prepare and deliver papers at exhibitions, conferences, and SIGs.
o Support colleagues during AAC Awareness Days and Liberator related events (LAMP days etc.)
Account Management and other duties
o Maintain existing relationships with key centres, schools and organisations
o Develop new business relationships and accounts
o Maintaining and update Liberators CRM database
o Maintain a calendar, organising meetings and appointments
o Assist in the research and development of PRC devices
